About me

“One day I would have all the books in the world, shelves and shelves of them. I would live my life in a tower of books. I would read all day long and eat peaches. And if any young knights in armor dared to come calling on their white chargers and plead with me to let down my hair, I would pelt them with peach pits until they went home.”

My name is Robina. My story does in fact take place in a tower of books (do not read my blog for sophisticated modern style with a twist of vintage whimsy. Book towers are generally not that). I read all day long and eat peaches (…when they’re in season. When they’re not I eat a lot of kale and potatoes). I also pelted a lot of pits when I was younger. Oh, more pits than I care to share here.

At some point, when I thought I was an adult but was still just a wee lass, I met a very lovely knight named Andy who braved the pits and preferred my hair in a ponytail. It took a while, but eventually I stopped pelting him, we grew up together, and he planted me a peach tree in our Brooklyn backyard instead. He also helped me create two very fascinating people, who go by pseudonyms here so that when they are teenagers it will be a little harder to find out about their infant and toddler shenanigans on braingoogle or whatever people will be using then.

Overall, I’d say it’s a pretty ideal life. A+, would do it all again.

I love hearing from people so please do get in touch via comment or email at robina@smallthingsgrow.com! Thank you so much for reading.

    Hi Robina,
Thanks so much for your comment on my blog, and for letting me know how you like the Cocoa Nibbles! I’m so glad they worked out for you and your daughter. They’re one of my all-time favorite snacks. . . can’t wait until I can eat dates again so I can make some! Another variation that I loved was a dash of chili peppers with the chocolate. Hope the coconut works out! :)

    All the best,
    Ricki

(Also, you should think about some day doing a shared story…you know, in all your free time!! Heh. But I bet it would be marvelous.)
